This is an exercise that I find helps a lot with strength and explosive power, especially for the side kick. Add this in to your workout a couple of times a week and you are sure to notice some gains. I hope you enjoy it!
This video shows some basic hand conditioning/forging exercises. You can start with about 100 strikes per part of the hand, i.e. 100 punches, 100 knife hands, 100 reverse knife hands, 100 back fists. If doing conditioning exercises it is also a good idea to take a calcium supplement.
