People tell me I can be difficult and hard to please. This, in fact, is not true. I, like many other martial artists out there, am like a racehorse. And how do you keep a racehorse happy? Three simple steps. Keep it:

  1. Well fed
  2. Well Slept
  3. Exercised

Easy as that! If any of these things go out of whack it’s bound to be a bad day for me and anyone in my general vicinity. I am sure it’s the same for many others out there too; it’s just about recognizing and treating the symptoms.

So, if you want to keep happily kicking on – eat well, sleep well and exercise (in our case martial arts related exercise, obviously). I make these three things a priority in my life – everything else comes afterwards. As long as I stick to this I am far more productive in all of my daily endeavors and quite pleasant to deal with, if I do say so myself.

Make these three simple steps a habit and I’m sure you will understand exactly what I am talking about.
